There’s no need for further introduction for him because when we hear his name Steven, we can immediately recognize him for being one of the best director of all time. But for the sake of introduction, this producer/director is widely known to be one of the most successful film-makers throughout the history, he is already in the film-making industry for over 4 decades and has won substantial amount awards throughout his career. He also ranked as the second wealthiest director in the world with a net worth of 3.6 Billion dollars second to George Lucas net worth – $4.9 billion.
So, without further Ado! Here are the five movies of Steven Spielberg that are worth of your time.
1. Ready Player One (2018)
This movie I think is the best Steven Spielberg movie. I don’t think that there is a movie that is more interesting than this one. And you have to see it yourself. The plot, the effects, everything in this movie is just perfect. But I doubt that the older generation would love this movie, but the millennials and the new generations will surely love it. All I can say is that, Please watch this movie and judge it to yourself.
2. A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
The dawn of AI development happening on our planet, this movie would really hit the spot as one of my favorite movies from Steven Spielberg. The movie is very philosophical and deeply moving, it will make you think about the movie for several days. The movie itself got a lot of critics, but even so, they got a rating of 7.2 stars from IMDb, which would prove that the movie is good. But the movie is not recommended to watch with someone who is not fond of these kinds of films because it will just become boring if you do not focus on watching it.
The movie budget was estimated at $100,000,000, which we can say was pretty high, while its Cumulative Worldwide Gross was $235,926,552; which I can say pretty low but nevertheless, it was a pretty good movie.
3. Jurassic Park world (2015)
This movie was just recently out and it was very good, especially it’s CGI, it is very noticeable to have a very good amount of budget, though the movie itself got a lot of critics. I totally enjoy watching the movie, after its long-dormant state from Jurassic Park III which was way back 2001. The movie lead actor was Chris Patt and Bryce Dallas Howard, though they really don’t have the proper chemistry in the movie they played their roles very well, especially Chris Patt. The movie got a nice plot that is very interesting to watch, especially during the climax of the film, which will make the audience sit at the edge of their seats.
The movie budget was estimated $150,000,000 and a box office of $1,670,400,637, these figures are really astounding, the movie itself earned as ranked sixth among the highest-grossing films of all time, the film also has a 72% approval rating on rotten tomatoes.
4. Lincoln (2012)
A historical film about how did Abraham Lincoln end slavery with the passage of the 13th amendment of the American constitution. The film focuses on the final years of Lincoln’s life including the surrender of the confederacy and ultimately paying the ultimate price. Though the movies do not really focus on politics but instead focuses on his qualities as a person. The movie is not really historically correct but as they say “heartily correct”.
The movie has a $65,000,000 estimated budget according to imbd.com and has a cumulative worldwide gross of $275,293,450. It also has a 150 minutes runtime. If you are into historical stuff, this movie should be worthy to watch.
5. War of the Worlds (2005)
A science fiction and an action pack film with its main protagonist Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) a dockworker living in New Jersey, as he tried to protect his family from an all-out alien invasion. The movie has a runtime of 116 minutes in which will make you on the edge of your seat. The film itself has a budget of $132,000,000 (estimated) according to imbd.com with a Cumulative Worldwide Gross of $591,745,532. The movie has an unexpected ending, especially on how did they defeat the aliens. It is worthwhile to watch especially with your family and friends if you have a slumber party or a movie marathon.
